Make a Donation

We are currently looking for donations of laptop computers and digital cameras.

Where will your donations go?

As of December 2015, we have begun the process of creating a computer lab in the indigenous Wichi village north of Salta. This is a particularly challenging project as there is only one room — the church — that has electricity in the entire village.

For this project, we’re looking for three laptops where the children of the community can download the photos from their cameras, edit those photos in Photoshop and also learn basic computer skills that will help them when they later look for work.

Some of the cameras you donate will go to the children in this project. Others will be used in our English Through Photography courses that we teach in various communities and in conjunction with schools all over the Salta province.

Please read our hardware specifications carefully. We need cameras that can produce high quality images so the resulting photos can be sold to print magazines and the laptops need to be able to run Photoshop and/or Photoshop Elements. If they cannot do these things, we can’t use them for the project.

I’ll be in the US in early February 2016 to pick up the equipment and bring it back to Argentina.

And of course, feel free to e-mail with any questions.

If you would instead like to donate money, all monetary donations made to Cloudhead are tax deductible through our partnership with the Muskoka Foundation. One hundred percent of donations go to the communities we support by building vegetable gardens or installing water pumps with the help of Fundacion Siwok.

We will later be looking for funds to pay for the electricity in our computer lab. Please specify if you’d like your donation to support the computer lab.
